We are happy to present articles about Chlamydia Pneumoniae Symptoms!

People infected with Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, which is an inflammation of the urethritis (in women) and the tip of the penis (in men) can either be with or without the discharge, (clear discharge for Chlamydia and white discharge for gonorrhea) typically associated with these diseases. This inflammation may also be caused by other things such as Trichomonas vaginalis and as such the urethritis infected with Chlamydia tends to be softer than those infected with gonorrhea, where the infected area is covered with what resembles heat bumps, or rashes. Men not only suffer from inflammation of the penis but also swelling of the testicles accompanied by pain and swelling.
Chlamydia does not leave any external scars, but with the swelling that occurs in both the male and female organs they can result in internal injuries that can leave them sterile. Chlamydia does not have any physical signs externally, except for swelling and redness in the affected area of the urethritis and the penis. That is why it is difficult to tell if a person has contracted Chlamydia. Unlike gonorrhea, which has little bumps that look something like a rash or a set of pimples and it is also red and swollen
Because the infections are more internal than external, women who are pregnant and have the Chlamydia virus can infect their new born babies with this disease during childbirth when the baby is in the passage way. The baby can either develop pneumonia or very serious eye problems and also respiratory disorders. Some men and women also suffer from swelling in the rectum accompanied by pain and bleeding or discharge, which is usually associated with having anal sex. Oral sex is another way that this disease can be transmitted to the eyes, which become very swollen and droopy and this can lead to blindness.
There is not much else to describe how Chlamydia looks like, except that it is red swollen and secretes a while substance that looks like (pus/fungi) and it is very painful to the touch. It makes it very uncomfortable to urinate and is painful for some women during sexual intercourse. If you would like to see some of the photos of what Chlamydia looks like you can go on the internet and type in this question and you will get a couple of internet sites that actually have some pictures, although there are not that many, because there is really not much to see because all the damage is internal.

Cerebral Palsy is the disorder that every parent should always watch out whenever their new child is still carried within the mother’s womb or being born. It may impair certain abilities of the child such as motor and learning skills. Diagnosing the child for any signs of cerebral palsy will be of great help in determining the proper treatment for him/her.
The question that will certainly pop-up instantly in your mind is “what are the signs that may indicate the possibility of a child to have cerebral palsy?” Although the exact cause has yet to be determined, the signs that will be discussed in this article can give you a hint if your child is suffering from cerebral palsy or not. Read on and learn more about the signs.
There are different signs which may determine the presence of cerebral palsy depends on the child’s age. A newly-born infant may show the following signs which are an indication of cerebral palsy presence in him/her?
• Suckling difficulties;
• Abnormality and breathing; or
• Bowel evacuating.
As the infant grows, there are other signs to look out such as the consistent use of the half part of the body compared to the other half and favoring a particular posture compared to the other one. The infant who is usually stiff, lacking any facial expressions, disorganized eye movements, head movements not following where a particular sound came from, and lack of any active response to any level of human voice can give you a cue if something is wrong.
In addition, if the child is having difficulty to perform basic movements such as rolling, crawling, smiling, and walking suggest possible presence of cerebral palsy. His/her hands are shaking. Making it difficult for them to grasp and play with their toys.
Other cerebral palsy signs also depend on the type the child is suffering into. The following are summary of the possible symptoms for each type of cerebral palsy:
• A child suffering from spastic diplegics has the typical scissors gait where the legs are crossing at the knees.
• If he/she has spastic hemiparesis, he/she may have uncontrollable tremors on the other half of his/her body.
• Athetoid cerebral palsy-affected children have difficulty in writing as well as movements on their extremities.
• Ataxic cerebral palsy-affected children are experiencing difficulty in executing basic motor tasks such as buttoning shirts and tremors also occurs while doing voluntary movements.
Always remember that once you have noticed any signs present on your child, he/she must be brought immediately to your physician for more accurate diagnosis.

KNOWING PNEUMONIA
Pneumonia refers to lung inflammation. There are 50 such lung inflammatory ailments. During such situations, the lungs inevitably experience build up of fluids. Several micro-organisms cause pneumonia. Pneumonic inflammation of the lungs occurs due to collection of cellular wastes and blood cells within the air sacs within the lungs. Such pneumonic inflammation creates breathing problems.
PNEUMONIA CAUSES
Pneumonia is caused by infections. The culprits responsible for causing such pneumonic infections are protozoa or fungi, mycoplasma, rickettsia, and bacteria. Respiratory infections caused by rhinoviruses, adenoviruses, and influenza virus can also lead to pneumonia. Most of the viral pneumonia cases are mild. They also resolve within a week’s time with or without any particular treatment.
HOW DANGEROUS CAN PNEUMONIA BE
Every year, 90,000 deaths are reported to be because of pneumonia in the United States. What is more, approximately five million pneumonia cases are registered in that country.
PNEUMONIA CAN BE LIFE THREATENING
If detected early, a person with a good constitution and proper treatment can recover quickly from an influenza bout. However, acute pneumonia attacks can be life threatening as well. More often than not, pneumonia can prove to be fatal to patients having weak immune systems. Even healthy persons can have complicacies if pneumonia is not detected early. There can be serious consequences if pneumonia patients fail to get effective and prompt treatment.
LOBAR PNEUMONIA
Lobar pneumonia is an acute form of infection. It is caused by the Pneumococcus bacterium. The generic name of this bacterium is Streptococcus pneumoniae. Lobar pneumonia usually follows an extreme form of viral respiratory infection, particularly of the upper respiratory tract. The symptoms of lobar pneumonia are chest pain during breathing, or cough and fever accompanied by chill and shaking. The patient’s body temperature hovers around 104° F (roughly 40° C). The sputum is blood streaked. Notably, most of the deaths before the invention of antibiotics were due to lobar pneumonia. Lobar pneumonia generally attacks a lung lobe or a portion of it. At times, lobar pneumonia strikes both the lungs; then it is known as double pneumonia.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF BACTERIAL PNEUMONIAS
Besides the Streptococcus pneumoniae, the other bacterial pneumonias fall in the bronchopneumonias category. Bronchopneumonias fever is lower compared to the one experienced in Streptococcus pneumoniae. Moreover, bronchopneumonias symptoms appear slower than the Streptococcus pneumoniae signs. The bronchopneumonias primarily target the bronchial tubes known as the bronchioles. Since these small tubes are located nearest the lungs, they may become rather dangerous. The bacteria that can cause bronchopneumonias are streptococci, different types of staphylococci, Haemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and pneumococcus besides the bacterium causing the Legionnaires’ disease, namely Legionella pneumophilia.
PNEUMONIA FORMS
There are basically three forms of pneumonia. They are atypical pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a mono cell organism lacking nucleus; the pneumonia caused by the harmless protozoan Pneumocystis carinii; and Chlamydia pneumoniae.
Atypical pneumonia: This is a common type of pneumonia. Outbreaks of such forms of pneumonia are generally witnessed among students in educational institutions and also among soldiers. Normally, atypical pneumonia resolves by itself. However, antibiotics can also bring about relief. It is caused by a minute prokaryotic organism known as Mycoplasma pneumoniae. This single-celled micro organism is neither a virus nor a bacterium.
Pneumocystis carinii Pneumonia: This form of pneumonia is caused by the protozoan Pneumocystis carinii. This micro organism is usually harmless. Such pneumonic incidences are common among people suffering from impaired immune syndromes or also among many leukemia patients. This form of pneumonia has been the primary cause of deaths among people suffering from AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
Chlamydia pneumoniae: Chlamydia pneumoniae is a contagious ailment caused by the Chlamydia set of bacteria. Chlamydia pneumoniae affects the upper respiratory tract. Chlamydia pneumoniae infections can also strike the bronchitis, pneumonitis, and the pharyngitis. Chlamydia pneumoniae can also lead to heart attacks and coronary heart diseases. Besides Chlamydia pneumoniae, the other two species of Chlamydia bacteria are Chlamydia psittaci and Chlamydia trachomatis.
THE SECOND MAIN CAUSE OF DEATH IN USA
Chlamydia pneumoniae has been identified as the second main cause of pneumonia in US. Anybody between the ages of five to 35 can be affected by Chlamydia pneumoniae. The Chlamydia pneumoniae bouts are usually mild in nature. The Chlamydia pneumoniae symptoms are fever and cough. At times, there can be more sputum production. Sputum is a mixture of various mucus and saliva. It arises from the respiratory tracts.
CHLAMYDIA PNEUMONIAE SYMPTOMS
The Chlamydia pneumoniae symptoms may not be very visible initially. Or, at times, the Chlamydia pneumoniae signs may also point to the other forms of Chlamydia dysfunctions. One type is the chlamydia type of illnesses caused by various strains of the trachomatis species. Another severe type of chlamydia disease is caused by a strain of the fly-borne Chlamydia trachomatis.
DIAGNOSING CHLAMYDIA PNEUMONIAE
To diagnose Chlamydia pneumoniae infections, patients generally have to undergo various tests. These include cell cultures that exclude other illnesses with similar symptoms. The other ailments having similar symptoms are candidiasis, trichomoniasis, herpes, and gonorrhea. The modern method of diagnosing Chlamydia infections are immunoassays blood tests. These examinations pinpoint the specific antibody that may have been constituted by the patient’s immune system against chlamydia infection. In 1939, major advances were made in pneumonia therapy. Their wider application lowered pneumonia from the third to the fifth leading cause of death in the USA.
TREATING PNEUMONIA
More often than not, antibiotics effectively deal with the majority forms of bacterial pneumonia. It also grants the people immunity against these virulent pneumonia states. The vaccine is further given as an immunity measure to patients who have chronic liver, lung or heart ailments.

Causes
Hiatal hernia can be caused by a number of things, often unique to each sufferer. One common cause, however, can be described as "mechanical": that is, caused by lifting improperly, heavy bouts of coughing, attacks to the abdomen, tight clothes, or poor posture. Lifting a heavy item whilst holding your breath (which happens often amongst people not trained in proper lifting techniques) can force the stomach into the esophagus and cause a hiatal hernia.
Another common cause of hiatal hernia is to do with the ileocecal valve. This is situated between the small and large intestines. Its function is to allow material to pass from the large intestine into the colon, but not vice versa. The ileocecal valve can become swollen and irritated; this causes it not to close properly, and permit material to travel back into the small intestine from the colon.
Although it cannot be determined whether a faulty ileocecal valve or hiatal hernia occurred first, a problem with this valve is known to further aggravate a hiatal hernia. Diet is a major factor in this: overeating, eating when upset, and poor combination of food can lead to this condition.
Interestingly, as well as "eating when upset" as being a contributory factor, emotional stress in itself has been raised as a possible cause of hiatal hernia – particularly the emotion of anger. One theory states that when some people get angry, they breathe and suck air upward, and then fail to release it properly. This results in the stomach remaining up, and repeated instances causing a hiatal hernia.
Symptoms
The stomach is forced into the sphincter that is designed to stop acid or food returning into the mouth or throat. The sphincter does not close properly and its function is compromised. This allows acid to travel into the esophagus and cause burning sensations, also known as heartburn or acid reflux.
The diaphragm muscle's movement is impeded. Its function is to pull downward to cause the chest capacity to expand and fill the lungs with air. A hiatal hernia sufferer may find that their diaphragm muscle is affected to the degree that they experience shallow breathing unless they help the process consciously using their chest shoulders and take a deep breath.
The esophagus has been known to form a kink. This would then cause difficulty in swallowing. Sufferers may get the sensation that material is often stuck in their throat.
Through the vagus nerve, which has significant links to a number of other organs in the body, such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, and even the external genitalia, imbalances can be spread throughout the patient's body and other important systems.
Hiatal hernia sufferers often experience poor digestion. This leads onto rotten food staying in the body longer than it should be, and causing toxicity in the patient. Naturally, there is a lack of nutrition and the usual symptoms of this, such as constipation, allergies, and immune weakness.
Hiatal hernia can also aid the development of asthma and heart disease. As previously mentioned, the lungs' capacity is affected. Intestinal gas can put pressure on the hernia and then the heart, and can in severe cases bring on a heart attack.

If you suffer with Fibromyalgia, reading this article may be the most important thing you do for your family, your career and your life. After reading this article, you may feel you finally have a solution to simplify your life, as you get information that will help you to manage a huge debilitating monster that cripples your enthusiasm and crushes your very will to live. You know that monster I’m talking about - Fibromyalgia, an overt form of arthritis that can rob you of your youth, suck the fun right out of your life and make you old before your time.
Many people live the fibromyalgia nightmare. They suffer through the medical failures, being shuffled from doctor to doctor. Always with the same results -- the physical exam comes back NEGATIVE… The x-rays come back NEGATIVE… the blood tests come back NEGATIVE… They say, “We’ve done all we can do, it’s ALL IN YOUR HEAD… take these anti-depressants!” And after all was said and done, you may be worse after all the treatments. It does NOT have to be this way… it does NOT have to be a struggle anymore. Imagine how great you would feel without your constant, nagging aches and pains. Imagine how easy your life would be if you could just do all the things you want without feeling exhausted and miserable. Imagine waking up in the morning, springing out of bed, feeling refreshed - - instead of feeling like you got hit by a bus in your sleep! Imagine not having to take handfuls of expensive pain medications that barely help and have side effects. Well, stop imagining – a solution is here, now!
Fibromyalgia (fye-bro-my-AL-gee-ah) is recognized as an arthritis-related condition characterized by generalized muscular pain and fatigue. The term "fibromyalgia" means pain in the muscles, ligaments and tendons. This condition is referred to as a "syndrome" because it's a set of signs and symptoms that occur together. Fibromyalgia is an especially confusing and often misunderstood condition, because its symptoms are quite common and laboratory test results generally come back as “Normal” readings. So, people with fibromyalgia are often told their condition is possibly "psychosomatic," or a figment of their minds. However, medical studies have proven that fibromyalgia does indeed exist, and it is estimated to affect about 2 percent of the U.S. population today. In 1990, the American College of Rheumatology, the official body of doctors who treat arthritis and related conditions, finally legitimized fibromyalgia in the medical community by presenting criteria for diagnosing the ailment. Diagnosis may be confirmed when you display the following symptoms:
A history of widespread pain (pain on both sides of the body and above and below the waist) that is present for at least three months
Pain in at least 11 of 18 specific tender-point sites on the human body.
One of the most successful strategies for treating fibromyalgia is organizing self-care in conjunction with comprehensive outpatient clinical treatment programs. In the Seattle, WA area there are clinicians (see links below) who specialize in such treatment, and who have dramatically reduced the effects of fibromyalgia, and whose treatments further support your ongoing self-care choices.
The primary self-care strategy to reduce fibromyalgia symptoms must focus on reducing physical and emotional stress. Trained clinicians help develop a plan to avoid or limit overexertion and emotional stress. It is critical that you take time each day to relax. That may mean learning how to say “no” to others who wish to impact your time, and to do so without guilt. But don't change your routine totally. People who quit work or drop all activity tend to do worse than those who remain active. Stress management techniques, such as deep-breathing exercises or meditation can be powerful tools for recovery.
Secondly, get enough sleep. Because tissue breakdown is one of the main characteristics of fibromyalgia, getting sufficient sleep is essential in order to repair damaged tissues. Allot enough time for sleep, practice good sleep habits, such as going to bed and getting up at the same time each day. Follow your body’s natural “circadian rhythms” and retire early (ideally around 9 PM). Remember, 1 hour’s sleep before midnight is equivalent to 2 hours after midnight).
And exercise regularly. At first, exercise may increase your pain. But doing it regularly will decreases symptoms. However, it must be done according to your tolerance. Start out very slowly – say 2 or 3 minutes for a week, and then increasing time by a few minutes per week. Exercise is also a stress on your system that will impair the healing process if it is too vigorous for the stage of recovery that you are in. Appropriate exercises often include walking, swimming, biking and water aerobics. A chiropractor can help you develop a home exercise program. Stretching, good posture and relaxation exercises also are helpful. Pace yourself. Keep your activity on an even level. If you do too much on your good days, you may have more bad days. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Eat healthy foods. Limit your caffeine intake. Do something that you find enjoyable and fulfilling every day.
Follow the simple guidelines offered in this article. For more detailed information, please contact the clinicians below. You will learn how to diminish the affects of this disease in your own life. Further, learn other key things that relate to the treatment of Fibromyalgia – for instance:
A lot of people are going to see this article. Many will respond and request more information -- and never even read it. I can’t help that. But there ARE people just like YOU who have read the information and are becoming fibromyalgia symptom free. It’s all up to you. You can continue taking drugs, following the “traditional” fibromyalgia treatments, maybe still suffering – and maybe getting worse. Or you can do what hundreds of other fibromyalgia sufferers did -- get relief through information.

Three sensory systems primarily govern our balance. These are the visual system, dependent on the eyes, the inner ear (or vestibular) system, and the general system of sensory experiences, run by joint, muscle, and skin position sensors.
The brain is constantly fed information about our position in the space we occupy by these three systems. The brain processes this vital information in order to adjust the position of our limbs accordingly. In most cases, this happens sub-consciously and we are not aware of the incredibly subtle changes that go on within us.
When we experience Vertigo, which is the sensation of movement that is not actually happening, it can often be attributed to one or more of these sensory systems failing, or the brain failing to processes the data properly (which I discuss later). Firstly, the three sensory systems and how they can cause balance disorders, or Vertigo:
Visual
The eyes give the brain clues about where we are in the environment that we are occupying. They tell it where the body is pointing, and direction it is travelling in. One theory about sea sickness is that while the eyes see steady surroundings, like a cabin, the ears can sense movement, and this causes confusion in the brain. Disorders of the visual system, such as glaucoma and cataracts, can cause systems of Vertigo and balance disorders.
Inner Ear
The structure of the inner ear is somewhat like a ‘level’ tool used in carpentry. It measures movement, both rotational and linear. There are a number of disorders of the inner ear that can cause balance disorders: ear infections, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, Meniere syndrome are common ones.
General Sensory System
There are sensors in the skin, muscles, and joints that detect motion, position and pressure. They provide subtle but important information to the brain that allow us to shift balance, and compensate where necessary to maintain balance. Any disorder in the general sensory system can create problems for the brain in determining where to shift weight to in the body.
Brain
As the brain processes information from the sensory systems explained above, any malfunction of the brain can lead to balance disorders. Problems that occur with the brain or Central Nervous System include strokes, tumors, head trauma, dementia or other degeneration, and migraines.
Sometimes the brain does not get a sufficient flow of blood, and this is common in elderly people. This can cause dizziness, especially when getting up from a seated position.
The body’s balance system depends on a number of functions working well. There are many different causes for vertigo and balance problems, but research in this area has shown that most sufferers’ root causes can be identified and thus a program of treatment employed.
