Meditation & Truth

Health - it's always good to see what is going on!

To truly attain stillness is not an easy task but however, if one were to attain the stage of self realization, one must be a master of stillness. Stillness attained by meditation is the most common way. What is then stillness and what is meditation? What is the link between these two?

When a person meditates, he tries to achieve tranquility and when it is achieved, the mind will be at peace. Being peaceful to the surrounding, nothing can disturb him and therefore, calmness is being practised. Calmness is slightly different from total stillness because a mind may be calm but total stillness is not observed. In practising meditation, calmness may be the first stage but the ultimate aim of meditation is to reach the stage of total stillness. One may see much realization when one reaches the stage of stillness. The realization of Truth will bring out the true self that is well-hidden within the physical body.

"Twixt Heaven and Earth"

There are many ways of meditation. The most common way is mainly sit cross-legged and try to meditate by concentrating on one object. It is better if one can attain a stage of objectless awareness. When one can attain the stage of total stillness, then this same stillness can be observed while sitting, standing, walking or merely lying down. For when stillness is attained, serene will be the mind. Thus, at all times his thinking and pureness of mind are always in the stillness form. Stillness does not mean that there is no action. Though inactive in its tranquil state but it is in this state that everything can be realized.

Some people think that meditation is merely sitting down trying to keep minds clear and blank. This is not true because it is one way to realize the Truth and find their true-selves. Understand that real is unreal, and unreal yet real. Emptiness is not truly empty in its way. Though not empty, emptiness must be observed in certain way. When talking about emptiness, it is very difficult to understand.

All things, whether good or evil, begin from the heart. Everything is the creation of one’s own mind. When a person is sitting down, trying to erase all problems and to attain the stage of calmness, the mind will be the first thing that he must learn to control. In meditation, colors are often sighted, but do not think too much about them. When the color stage has passed, some may think that they see Heavenly Beings or images of such. It may be real, yet unreal. If one sees such images, do not think that one has achieved Heavenly stage for this could merely be a test set by one’s own self. Meditation is not to see Heavenly Beings nor is it a practice for spiritual power. The so-called power is not the ultimate aim of meditation.

Many people see meditation as an art of practising power, power of healing and power to control. If “Power” is sighted at all, then he may land himself in trouble that he does not know. For when one is crazy for power and fame, the heart that should be pure could be easily misled. One must understand that goodness comes from the heart and so does evil thought. Be pure and aim only for the right thing. When one can reach a stage of no-self, and yet one’s true self controls, then one may realize things as the Sages do.

To observe the rules of meditation, one must learn the illusion of the mind, for this illusion of mind may bring one’s downfall. Do not allow the surrounding environment to be one’s fear. The noisiest place may prove to be the best practising ground. If one practises in a secluded place, one is not actually practising. Being in a peaceful surrounding, no noise would be there to disturb him and therefore, it is easier to attain calmness. But, if one is in a busy and noisy place, one’s mind may not be calm at all.

Many people search in the wrong manner. They travel thousands of mile to search for a master who can reveal the Truth and they would search and search for a few lines of utterances that may help them. One may travel millions of mile, get thousands of utterances from masters and even if the right points are pointed out, he will still not attain unless he realize the Truth and follow up by his virtuous action and speech.

The Truth is wordless and cannot be explained. Truth, though alike, is accepted differently by man. Meditation and stillness is one way to allow us to prepare ourselves to realize the Truth. The ultimate Truth can be realized suddenly just like when a bell is hit and the sound heard. In Tao it is called the realization and opening of the right portal or divine eye.

Author: T.A Chew

T.A Chew realized that people in the past search for the Truth by walking thousands of mile through mountains and rivers before they can find the right master to transmit the Truth. Some went through years of meditation but yet cannot find the Truth. The Truth is within and by affinity, one will find the Truth. Website: http://www.white-sun.com

The Truth is within and near to you a Heavenly Being is already there. All spiritual places are alike. The only difference is the attitude of the people who are in charge of the place and whether is that place able to transmit the Truth?

A Magical Meditation for Lovers

The meditative state is our natural state. When we reach this state, we recognize what lies at the root of all our experiences, and we become fully aware. Meditation awakens the fundamental and innate intelligence of being - the light of our spirit - and it becomes the cornerstone of everything we perceive.

Formally, meditation entails entering a state of awakening and freedom of the spirit. Meditation gives you breathing room from the countless activities you do every day, and directs you to the true experience of your being. Not that your everyday activities or experiences are contradictory or incompatible with the state of being aware, but in meditation, they are set aside for a simpler grasp of your being.

Try to attain more and more freedom as the days go by. Recognize your feelings as they are, and let your innate intelligence direct you in every step you take.

If your mind is bogged down by ideas, experiences, and impulses, only conflict can arise. When your mind is clear and capable of deep reasoning, that’s when you have achieved a state of meditation. Only then can you clearly recognize the true sense of love.

Through meditation, we experience reality as it is; as an inclusive experience. We are prevented from getting lost amidst conceptual illusions or emotional attachments which are nothing but distractions from that immense and unfathomable reality. All human actions should be meditative in nature; enlightened, awakened, free from deceit.

Discard those ideas accumulated in memory, or the judgment of a borrowed mind.

To meditate, make sincerity your rule of life. Look at yourself naked in the mirror of your own being. Open up to the reality of the universe, for that is your real home.

Meditation is the delight of our own self

Meditation brings about sensitivity and a great sense of belonging to the world. The degree of sensitivity will increase to the point that the smallest blade of grass will acquire immense importance. Sensitivity allows for the understanding that that blade is as important to existence as the largest of all stars; without it, existence would be less than what it is. Conscious meditation - individually or as a couple - will allow you to:

• Increase longevity
• Harmonize your body, mind, and spirit
• Keep a happy vibe
• Increase sexual energy
• Balance gland secretion
• Recover emotional harmony
• Balance the energy centers
• Eliminate stress
• Increase the ability to concentrate
• Expand creativity and memory
• Increase willpower and determination
• Decrease heart rate (the number of times the heart pumps per minute) while at rest
• Decrease muscular tension
• Increase the ability to be awake and alert

States of Consciousness

Conscious meditation allows you to heighten your level of consciousness. There are three levels of consciousness:

1. Human consciousness

The plane related to the everyday affairs and worldly events. This level of consciousness deals with normal communication, in which no specific function is sought but rather our need to communicate is expressed.

2. The consciousness of love

The plane at which two beings wish to unite. This level of consciousness heightens love to a superior state.

3. Divine consciousness

The plane in which the mind has reached a state of perfect union with the universe. In this level, the mind becomes one with the infinite world through silence. This level of consciousness can be reached through the mental or oral repetition of the mantras used to get each chakra in motion or to become part of the universal oneness.

Exercise to achieve divine consciousness

In a state of relaxation, stand naked opposite your partner and visualize a three-colored flame in your heart. Doing this helps to radiate light towards your partner’s heart. Your magical partner must do the same. For inner contact, visualize your partner wrapping you in those three colors. If you still cannot picture them, watch an actual flame before carrying out the ritual - then you’ll be able to identify the three colors and visualize the light they produce.

Now, imagine that fire coming out of your heart and reaching across to your partner. Spiritually intense, this exercise will bring about a stronger and more wholesome bond before sex. (For further reference, consult my book Sex and The Perfect Lover.)

Meditation with your partner

Both of you should be lying down and in a state of relaxation. Close your eyes and relax your minds, focusing on deep breathing. Concentrate on the air coming into and out of your bodies. Put the technique of harmonious breathing into practice now: both of you should inhale together, hold your breath, exhale, and hold your breath again. Practice the three modes of breathing (inhaling, holding your breath, exhaling).

Be aware of whatever comes to mind - your thoughts, the rhythm of your body, and your emotions. If memories show up, don’t repress them - just watch them and let them go. Picture your mind as a sky full of clouds. Watch the colors of the clouds and their density. Each cloud represents a feeling or a thought. Free each cloud until the sky is blue, fully blue and bright with the light of the sun. Focus on your mind until it is empty and quiet.

Do this exercise every day for 10 minutes. In each session, you’ll achieve the state of consciousness of love and eternal ecstasy.

Integration - Heart, Intelligence, Emotional IQ, Psychology, Creativity and EE Meditation

For thousands of years Yogis and Masters of Meditation have been talking about integration.

With integration comes all the benefits of a one pointed and focused mind, leading to higher ability and achievement, Higher Intelligence, Intellect, Emotional IQ, Communication, Creativity and Will Power.

As well as the integration of the energy centers of the body, the chakras through the removal of energy blockages, there is also an incredible integration of the separated selves, both of which come about through meditation.

Yogic theory says that your mind is like a distributed or parallel processing computer with many energy blockages, ego programs and sub-personalities wandering around in it. Ghosts in the Machine!

This is the reason why people are inconsistent, – they tend to change their minds!

Now this is interesting, the idea, the theory that we are a collection of sub-personalities and in this work of integration, we are aiming to make one of the sub-personalities the strongest by absorbing and integrating all the lesser sub-personalities into it.

One strong integrated personality is more decisive and more successful than a hundred weak and aimless sub-personalities.

The first step in the process of integration is simply to examine the theory and literature on sub-personalities and then start to spot and notice the effects of sub-personalities in the people around you.

1. First we have the literature on Sub-personalities. As well as the psychological books detailing abnormal multiple personalitied people, we also have literature on the softer and more normal symptoms of the pervasive nature of sub-personalities in everyone.

a. Paracelsus von Hohenheim (1490-1541) was the outstanding medical therapist of his time and, perhaps, the greatest mystic in the history of Western medicine. He devoted his life to research in the healing arts. Paracelsus visited Constantinople to acquaint himself with the secret practices of the Dervishes and the Sufis.

The invisible progeny of man include thought-forms and emotion-forms. These are like infants or inner children, especially in their beginnings, for they depend upon their creator for their nutrition and survival. Paracelsus noted that most elementaries or sub-personalities seem to be of an evil or destructive nature. They are generated from the excesses of human thought and emotion, the corruption of character, or the degeneration of faculties and powers which should be used in other, more constructive ways....

b. Gurdjieff – "The person who says he will get up at 5 in the morning, is not the same person who throws the alarm clock out of the window!" Addictive and negative sub-personalities were part of the Gurdjieffian teaching, The Work, and indeed Gurdjieff cured many people of their most distressing symptoms.

"One of the basic principles explains the many and varied I's in a man. The unawakened man is not a unified person. He has dozens of selves within him, each falsely calling itself "me". The many I's within a man explains many mysteries about human nature. For example, a man decides to give up an undesirable habit, but the next day he repeats it again. Why? Because another entitiy sub personality, I, has taken over, an energy blockage that likes the habit and has no intention of giving it up."

c. Eric Berne of Transactional Analysis, and his book, "The Games People Play". Forty years ago, Games People Play revolutionized our understanding of what really goes on during our most basic social interactions. More than five million copies later, Dr. Eric Berne’s classic is as astonishing–and revealing–as it was on the day it was first published.

d. Jung, and his Archetypal sub-personalities.

e. Dame Alexandra-Neel worked with sub-personalities and Thought-Forms in Tibet and reported on her experiences in her autobiography.

f. Hubbard - those beings or entities, energy blockages or "body thetans" ("BTs") that are located in the body or around the body are inhabiting various things, like a body part - a bone, arm, cell, or they are a particular sub-personality, or condition, such as "TV watcher," or "fear," or "worker," or "solitary angry man," and so on.

"People get confused as to who they are and who they are not. A person hears these voices or feels desires, and so on, and thinks he is the source of them. Yet, you are not necessarily the originator of these thoughts or impulses. So, by identifying who is the source of these vocalizations or impulses and spotting where it is located and removing it, you are freed to think for yourself."

g. Many philosophers, including George Santayana and David Hume, have also observed how a person switches constantly from one I to another.

2. Sub-personalities in people are created to make them weaker. The younger we are, the more we are affected by physical and emotional shocks to the system, traumas which create negative emotions, anger and sadness are caused by energy blockages. These traumas split off the ego programs into Inner Children Sub-Personalities who sabotage your life thereafter.

3. Then we have the symptoms of sub-personalities in all people. The inner child archetypes of the attention seeking energy vampires, - the poor me, the violator, the selfish competitive star, the seducer, the tyrant, the pleaser, the critic and many more games that people play, which have been written about in many articles.

4. Then we have the advanced meditational technology to integrate the sub-personalities and become more creative and successful. And even meditation is not enough, now we need real Meditative Progress, a Speeding up of the Process of Meditation through Advanced Meditational Techniques.

The Kundalini Kriyas, the Grounding of Negative Energies, Opening the Heart Center, Soul Fusion and the Seven Step Process will integrate you and give real results of Integration - evolution, coherence, alignment and progress in our lives and in the lives of everyone in the World, FAST!!

Meditation and Energy Enhancement which teaches Twenty Seven Ancient and Effective techniques Beyond Simple Meditation to Speed Up the Meditative Process will progressively increase Energy, Intelligence and Will.

Judgment Never Feels Good - Often We Do It Subconsciously Without Giving It A Second Thought

For most of us finding the energy to just get through the day can be a challenge. Sometimes the best read of the zen-o-meter is whether or not the activity or emotion we are engaging in throughout the day nurtures our energy or drains it. For example, playing with the kids in the park, makes you feel more alive. Fighting your way through the grocery store, drains the life blood out of you. When you get out of bed you only have so much energy to get through the day. Many things will come at you that you have no control over. So this month we will explore controlling one emotional habit that is guaranteed to drain your soul.

Learning to master this beast will leave you with more energy for you to spend the way you want.

Judgment never feels good. Often we do it subconsciously without giving it a second thought. However, most of the time it's a very conscious act. Most popular psychology holds that we judge to make ourselves feel better; That by judging others we somehow feel superior to them. Most ancient spiritual traditions hold that we judge to separate ourselves one from another. No matter why we do it, or how we do it either blatantly, silently, or in the form of gossip, judgment drains your spirit and leaves your energy lower then it needs to be.

A few nights ago I was standing in my son's room as he was talking on the phone ignoring my presence. It wasn't that he didn't know I was there, he had simply made the choice not not notice me. He was ignoring me because it was easier to do that then to acknowledge he had not done the dishes or his homework. Needless to say, I was having some escalating judgment and although I felt particularly righteous in my position, it didn't feel good. After several minutes of my heated glare he finally succumbed and to my evil eye and as he begrudgingly hung up the phone he bid his friend, “Aloha”.

It made me laugh. Earlier in the day I had been studying a book about the Huna philosophy. One of the tenants of the Huna philosophy, which is a Hawaiian spiritual tradition, is Aloha, which means, to love is to be happy with. There I stood, trying to stay mad, but well reminded of Aloha – meaning that in order to love him – I had to be happy with him.

Judgment is such a downer. But to love is just the opposite. Having to remind yourself not to judge others~ downer. Staying in a spirit of unconditional love~ uplifting and energy building.

So, at the end of the evening, my son and I did the dishes together. He didn't get his homework done. I did in fact have a moment of ah ha or better put, Aloha – to love was to be happy with. At the end of the day, that just felt better.

Spiritual traditions can seem so rigid. However, in the spirit of Aloha, the rule of thumb is almost decadent. When you can replace, having to avoid judgment, with the follow your bliss path of staying in love, everything becomes a little brighter, a little lighter. You free up a lot of energy to do things like grocery shop and dishes and take the dog for a walk...

So, what's the motto?

It's simple... Aloha

The Antahkarana, Bridge, Tower of Babel or Babble, Chakras, Meditation, Gurdjieff, Shakespeare, Guru

The tower of Babel is the synonym in the Bible for a human being. In a "normal" human being every part works and communicates together.

The brain, spine and connection with the Soul, the Antahkarana, comprise the tower.

Along the spine are the Seven Major Chakras or parallel processors. As I said, these chakras rarely communicate. They rarely work together. The parable goes that because God was afraid that the Tower of Babel would be built so high as to reach heaven, he purposefully created different languages amongst the various people building the tower.

Because of the lack of communication the tower never got built to Heaven.

The lack of communication between the chakras, or the people building the Tower of Babel, symbolises their lack of integration. Because we are not integrated our psychic bodies will not reach up to heaven. We never managed to contact our Higher Selves. We are not Enlightened.

The Enlightened have built a Tower of communication "Twixt Heaven and Earth".

In the Ancient Sanskrit this Tower has been given the name "The Antahkarana".

It is the psychic wiring, created in mental matter. A thoughtform created dually by the Soul and the aspirant to connect the Crown Chakra through to the Soul and then to the spiritual triad and then the Monad.

Your evolution is the height of your Antahkarana.

The Astral plane is not flat. Although most people inhabit the psychic slums in the basement of the astral plane in their dreams, when they go to sleep.

It is the "Rainbow Bridge" whereby the Higher frequencies of the energy of the Soul are stepped down to that of the Earth, so that the Earth itself can raise its frequencies, can evolve. We have been created to help in this creative act.

These frequencies are stepped down Octave by Octave through each Chakra which are really Way Stations in the Energy System of the Soul. This is the "Music of the Spheres" of Pythagoras. Because The Enlightened Master Pythagoras was indeed talking of Chakras when talking about the Spheres or the Planets. Each Chakra as it evolves corresponds to one or more of the Planets. This is the secret of Astrology. This is the means whereby the Seven Sacred Suns and the Seven Sacred Constellations in this Sacred Universe affect us.

Each Chakra, when working correctly, acts like a Transformer in an Electrical system to halve the Energy Frequency of God. The frequency drops Chakra by Chakra, "Station by Station" as said David Bowie, on its way down to this planet because as Gurdjieff said "Normal Human Beings are transmitters of Cosmic Energy". And this is the function of Normal Human Beings. Those who are Enlightened. To transmit the Energy of The Soul. Whereby the higher energies of Truth, Prophesy, Intuition and Initiation are sent down towards this Planet.

Where the Higher Energy Frequencies of God create the Higher Energy Thoughtforms towards which the Median of the Masses are moved as they evolve and as the Earth Spirit Evolves.

Because the Energy Transmitted by the Enlightened is used to raise the frequency level of the Earth itself and all the people on it. To transmit the Light of Love down on to this planet of Love.

To dissolve the Selfishness of the separated selves, those "Law of the Jungle" Egos who cannot communicate with The Higher Self. Who think of themselves as Separate. Who think themselves Apart. Who do not know that they too are A Part of the Universe of God Itself. Those who are not connected. Those who have not been touched by God. Those who are not "Made".

The Enlightened exist to bring light into darkness. To dissolve the darkness and this itself is the meaning of the Sanskrit word "Guru". A person who dissolves or Transmutes Goo is a GooRoo.

And this is done through the Light of the Soul. Brighter than Ten Thousand Suns it exists alone. Unchangeable. Like Fire it lights everything with which it comes into contact. And once you are lit, you too burn with the Fire of the Soul. Like Prometheus you bring down the Fire of God onto the Earth, for the Benefit of every living being. Hari OM Tat Sat
