This is Your Moment - So Pay Attention

Have you ever in your quest to be more and do more, experienced the feeling that you were going backward? We all seem to be over-stretching ourselves. I am always saying, “I never thought life would be this busy”. Could all this busyness actually prevent us or be creating blocks in our lives to what we are truly seeking? Could we actually start slowing down and asking ourselves different questions that would end up creating a more profound awareness in our lives? Can this hectic life with so many distractions keep us from a life where we are in appreciation of each and every moment of our day?

“I never thought life would be this busy”

We live in a world with so many expectations and so much to accomplish. The financial well being, relationships that work, looking good and to be everything society wants us to be. All these burdens and expectations are like trying to push a bowling ball up a hill. Can we actually be causing damage to our well being, to the physical mind and body and in turn slowing the real growth we seek here on this planet? Does this damage that we have possibly caused need to be healed and will we slow down enough to heal ourselves?

We pursue all these things to create a place of wholeness. We seek a life that is complete and whole and dream of enjoying all that life has to offer. But do we ever get to the place of peace, calmness, and serenity and do we ever find the love for our lives.

When will we start to recognize that this is not working? And that we just keep doing more but the wholeness of our lives is just a big hole. Well there is hope. When we start to recognize what is going on and pay attention, we can take steps in creating and changing our lives to make a difference.

When we recognize that we need to be responsible for our own life and that we are the ones who ultimately create our reality we can actually break through all the expectations others have put on us and take the time to enjoy the moment. I’m not saying that we just sit around and do nothing. The point that I am making is that we are so busy that we are never where we are in that moment. We are doing one task and thinking about the next task. We never take the time to be in the moment and enjoy the moment for just that. We are in our cars, talking on the phone and thinking about the meeting we have later that day. We pick up a friend from the airport or we are at lunch with our mothers and we just have to answer that call from a friend who just wants to chit chat. When does it all slow down. When do we just be with someone or something? Like taking the time to read a book, or just sitting there and listening to your child, without all the noise going on in your head of what you have to do next? How about just being? Breathing and being in that moment from time to time and just enjoying it. A good friend of mine would sometimes take a Friday afternoon off from work or her chores and just be with the day. Enjoying the sunshine and feeling the warmth of the sun as it kisses her long flowing hair. Do you ever slow down and listening to the birds sing, or watching a humming bird hover like a helicopter as it pecks at a bougainvillea. Do you still feel the coolness and that little tickle of the grass on your feet or are you just traversing this planet in pursuit of something you just can’t get your hands around? Try breathing in and out slowly and feel the air move through your body. Do it now! Appreciate this moment and be in gratitude for this moment. Yes, you can tend to your busy life later, but from time to time just stop and just be. Be open to seeing and feeling what is going on around you and really appreciation the moment for whatever it offers. Let the world take care of itself for a while. You don’t have to always fix everything.

As you get good at being in the moment you will learn how to do this even when you are busy. You can take on tasks and just be in that task. You can actually enjoy the task and do it so well that you don’t even realize how quickly time has past and how efficient you were in accomplishing and enjoying that task. You can talk to someone and actually hear what they mean, not just what they are saying. So pay attention to the moment for this moment will never appear again. Every moment is a precious gift and the decisions and things we do in every moment create our reality. Please enjoy this moment and every moment of your life.

A Student's Growth

This is some writing from a person I met on the web and who is learning to write and do many other things she credits me with having helped her to do.

‘The following is Episode Three - Part One:

'Perceptions'

Suspended precariously between truth, fact and fiction, lies Perception ~ expectantly awaiting the cue that will tip the scale of awareness toward opening reality or denying it. Fortunately for humankind, perception is adaptable.

~ "Possibilities are limitless, existing at any given moment and are only fixed in time when sensed and decided and manifested as reality". (author unknown)

*Episode Three of my Out of Body Experience ~ from my journal of August 7th through August 11th, 2005:

I closed the previous episode 'Opening Reality' poised on the edge of a seemingly benevolent sea of a new awareness. An awareness I treasured and explored with wonder and excitement. Perfect timing or not, the next arrival heralded a dark side in the dynamics of ethereal and astral travel. There was one true story in particular that reminded me of the scenario UFO abductees report during close encounters; entities enter your room while you are asleep, you awake and find yourself alert but unable to move as they' float' you up, up and away to their spacecraft .

The entities in this true story were not aliens. They were real people you know from your everyday life who astral travel. It was astral visitations that spawned my fear and in order to continue on a forward path it would have to be resolved. The first step was to learn more about the out of body state and how I arrived there, or as my mentor referred to it "your growing awareness of taps-ins to the collective".

I consulted another adept with thirty years of experience in meditation and astral travel who described my OBE this way: "you left your body through your throat chakra and entered into an ethereal state of consciousness, but not an astral state. Astral travel involves leaving the body through the eye chakra or 'third eye'. This is far more difficult to achieve and requires years of practice in meditation". Even so, he said "some students practice meditation an entire lifetime to achieve an ethereal state, not always with success". How I reached this out of body ethereal state 'spontaneously' without 'intent' was a mystery I set out to solve.

I began by retracing the events that lead up to my OBE. What I uncovered was six months of study I did in a class of archaeology referred to (mistakenly or otherwise) as 'alternative': Within this 'class' I found open to all:

~ Profoundly accurate science embodied in megalith monuments ~ remnants of the origins of humanity recorded in Sumerian cuneiform ~ Spirit guides personified on the walls of sacred caves ~ and incantations for resurrection from the Egyptian Book of the Dead.

~ From treasured epics in libraries of papyri ~ to the oldest Ogham etched in the wisdom of stones ~ I opened the doors to soulful legacies crafted in artifacts of precious metal, clay, fossil and bone.

The soul of the universe existed within this body of knowledge and spoke volumes to anyone who was 'open' to learning.

The map that ultimately carried me to my out of body destination was created of an essence that could not be measured by intellect alone. A type of knowledge that had to be experienced intuitively in order to be understood. All other maps were physical manifestations of that essence ~ equally educational but not scientifically autonomous.

OPEN TO LEARNING: THE most important force (within each one of us) in spontaneous growth as taught to me by learned adepts ~ and THE force that carried my soul into another reality via the out of body experience. So much was about to enter into my world (and I into it) simply because I was open to learning.

A few weeks later in September, a South American Indian Shaman would tell me the ancient Dream Dancers Mask I wore six months ago (during an archaeological field trip in April of 2005) had an influence on the energy of current events in my life. This was possible she said, BECAUSE I was OPEN to the Mask and accepted the mask for its true identity: an ancient shaman's mask from a culture that once lived near one of the oldest river systems in the world, the Kanawha River Valley region of West Virginia. The story of the Mask and the influence of this energy is still to come in a future episode.’

Elevate Energy Easily …. AND Without Moving!

This article reveals an easy to do exercise that helps create (and store) positive energy in your body leaving you feeling refreshed and revived.

Now, if I said to you

“Act like a corpse!”

you would be forgiven for wondering if I needed help! Also, you may wonder what that has to do with energy creation.

Well, it is the body position that is the key. It allows total relaxation and this permits us to focus on ‘pulling’ in energy to our midsections and then, through the use of visualisation of certain colours, makes us spill over with radiant, positive, light.

---------------------
POTENTIAL PROBLEMS
---------------------

Many people try to relax or meditate in positions they see in films or on T.V. where the person is often kneeling, cutting off the blood supply to their legs, while being ‘quietly’ introspective!

This is a problem that need not exist. You don’t have to kneel. You can stand. You can walk. You can lie. Ask yourself this question.

“How can I calm my mind and body if I am in pain?”

The answer is you cannot. So try the corpse pose for something that allows one to easily and quickly get into a meditative state. It allows a person to lie, totally at ease, and this leads to better, deeper, energy creation and thus makes it a great choice for many people.

-----------------
THE CORPSE POSE
-----------------

1. Lie on your back somewhere that provides total comfort.

2. Have you eyes closed so you can easily begin to use your creative visualisation.

3. Inhale a light, vibrant, colour (of your own choosing) into your belly. Allow it to remain there even after your exhale.

4. With each subsequent inhale you add to this colour.

5. It fills all your body gradually. Approximately six breaths should suffice.

6. During the final couple of breaths feel and sense the energy spilling out of your body. You are immersed in it.

7. As you slowly come out of this meditation allow the energy to stay with you as you go about your day.

Why Meditate?

Think how many things you do with the hope of attaining a condition of rest, once you've done them.

You think, “Let me buy that zippy red sports car, or that shiny white compact model, or that beautiful big station wagon for the whole family. I'll never rest until I get it!”

Peace is the natural condition of the soul. People sometimes speak longingly of the peace of the grave—as in the term “requiescat in pace”—even if they imagine death as a descent into unconsciousness.

Or perhaps you think, “I'll get that new house with the shaded porch and the large master bedroom; that calm, spacious dining room so we don't have always to eat in the kitchen with the cucumbers; that sunken living room. Oh, once I have all that I'll be able to relax at last!”

Usually, our mental image of an attained ideal is like a framed painting: static and never changing. It is an end in itself, not a passageway toward further beginnings and further challenges. Even when we see our goals as means to other ends, our vision of the future carries us to a time where rest becomes truly possible at last.

The loss of consciousness itself seems to them, evidently, an attractive alternative to the ceaseless struggle of human existence. Meditation, however, poses an infinitely more attractive alternative, one that lifts the mind into a state of superconscious peace which, once attained, can be maintained through even the psychic upheaval of physical death.

Peace can never truly be found outside ourselves. What passes for peace is a temporary lull, merely, in the battle of life. That new car, once you've bought it, will be only a prelude to new pursuits and fresh challenges. That lovely home will turn out to be an invitation to new responsibilities, further involvements, and perhaps even stronger attachments.

What happens is that, in the process of pursuing one thing after another, forever in the hope of getting everything finally just the way you want it, you become accustomed to looking for things, for more and more ways of helping you to rest better.

Someday, surely (you think), you'll be able to enjoy life completely. The irony is that, in the very process of pursuing rest, you gradually lose the ability to rest at all. And in the process of pursuing enjoyment, you lose the capacity really to enjoy anything.

Our very enjoyment of life begins with the simple ability to relax. The ability is simple: That is what makes it so difficult! Since our birth, our life-force has flowed outward to the five senses, and through them to this world of endless complexity. It isn't easy, now, to reverse that flow.

The more you seek rest through doing, the more restless you become. The more you seek happiness through the senses, the less happy you will be, for the simple reason that sensory enjoyment drains our capacity for happiness: It doesn't nourish it.

Why wait? Why wait for peace and happiness to come to you eventually? Will they come to you even after you retire from work? Hardly! If, having become safely ensconced in that rocking chair, you resist the tendency to keep on doing things no matter how unproductive, you'll very likely die of boredom.

Everyone, no matter how busy he is, needs to devote some time every day to practicing the art of doing things restfully. You'll never find peace until you make peace a part of activity itself. Peace should be part of the very creative process.

Hence the importance of meditation.

World Peace by Meditation: The End of Poverty and Anger, Stress, Tension, Depression, Sorrow, Hate

One of the worlds greatest Meditators, says Governments can't eradicate poverty from the Earth. Neither can they bring peace.

"To resolve problems through negotiation is a very childish approach,"

A few hundred meditators on either side of a conflict is all that's needed to create an aura of peace.

• Eliminate poverty? End war and create world peace? The unifying field that Albert Einstein sought has been within us all the time, in the "unbounded consciousness" of the mind. "There is one unity, unified wholeness, total unified consciousness,"

• Tear down major structures and cities -- the White House and the United Nations among them – Heal the energies and rebuild them according to energetic architectural plans that harmonize construction with nature.

• Send meditation groups to world hot spots as psychic shock troops whose combined positive energy will dispel negativity, reduce crime, ease conflict and promote world peace.

• Buy billions of acres in 100 developing countries for labor-intensive farming, providing employment and income for the world's poorest people by feeding the First-World market for organic food.

Meditation is a 20-minute twice daily routine in which the meditator silently focuses on a sound, or mantra, to induce relaxation and "Dive Into A State Of Pure Consciousness And Tap Into The Deepest Resources Of The Brain And Intelligence."

With Meditation "Anger, Stress, Tension, Depression, Sorrow, Hate, Fear -- these things start to retreat," said American movie director David Lynch of "Twin Peaks" renown, who has practiced Meditation for 32 years. And for a filmmaker, having this negativity lift away is money in the bank. When you're suffering you can't create.

Most scientists agree Meditation can ease stress, high blood pressure, pain and insomnia. Meditation has gained legitimacy. The National Institutes of Health has had a Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine since 1998 to research these practices.

There are now over 600 published Scientific Studies on the Benefits of Meditation.
