Exercise Tip of The Week

Do you have dumbells?

I was shopping at Target and decided to have a look at the exercise equipment and supplies on one of their aisles and I found a large selection of dumbells. I picked a couple out ( 5 lbs. each) and have been using them almost every day since.

I keep them at my feet at the side of my desk and whenever I am on the phone or waiting for something to complete, I will pickup the dumb bells and do a little light weight lifing!

It may not be a full workout but I have noticed my arms are already getting bulkier and more toned! I highly recommend you grab a cheap set of dumbells and keep them near for impulsive use like I do!

Fault Free Life at Healthy Treadmills Losing Weight

We are happy to present articles about Fault Free Life!

Through Meditation, The Kundalini Kriyas and Soul Fusion, Get A Fault Free Life Of Richness + Peace

Any human being. Any line of work. Whether you are a businessman, an executive, a nurse, a doctor, an engineer, a computer scientist, a salesman, housewife, yogi or student, you are interested in having a fault free life.

A life without defects or mistakes or problems of any kind. A life of richness, internal and external where your meditationally increased energy will produce results!!

For 5000 years sages and saints have been telling you that the mind is limited. It is necessary but it is limited and it is always making mistakes. It is fractured and fragmented and creates many problems. In many cases we seem to be connected to a self destructive saboteur which totally destroys our lives.

whole world will become fault free!!

Meditation and Energy Enhancement are techniques which can help you come to a mistake free life. You can find the most intelligent man in the world, on the IQ scale, and that man can have no common sense whatsoever and also no heart...

Meditation is the way of going beyond the mind to a place of heart, intuition, of coherence, alignment with the soul or higher self where you can become integrated, one, governed by higher levels of energy.

Also, the energy of meditation can so unify your energetic field that you can produce coherence and alignment and peace in all people which surround you.

The people of transcendental meditation have proved in a great scientific experiment, reported in major scientific journals that when a lot of people meditated together in a city, then that city experienced lower levels of crime. The crime statistics of the whole city on every level were lowered during the process of the meditation.

Just think what a process of daily meditation could produce in your life and in the people around you, your family, your friends. Any meditation you practice will help them also.

The movie, the Last Samurai, was making that point. Human society and politics is governed by the mind. It wants everything and will do anything to get it. But Tom Cruise the star and executive producer of the movie, together with the writer, John Logan, who wrote "Gladiator" were saying that this mix of selfish desire and intellect needs the leaven of the state of meditation.

And when at the end of the movie when Tom was handing the sword soul of the meditation of the Head Samurai to the Emperor, he was handing on the message of meditation. And that meditation so strengthened the courage of the emperor that he became capable of throwing out the bad people in his government.

As above, so below, as leaders throw out bad ministers, so you can remove all your energy blockages.

He is still passing that Sword of Meditation, of the Heart, to you, so that you can cast out all your negative energy blockages! ....

Today no government can promise you security in the face of selfish desire, weapons of mass destruction, and terrorism. They can not prevent!!!

No government can prevent... Has been able to improve the problematic areas of health and education. Dummed down and plain unhealthy. 30% of the people die from cancer and 25% from heart disease. In fact they keep changing methodologies constantly in the hopes that no-one will notice that in the face of all this effort.... Things are getting worse.

And because of this, every three or four years the governments are thrown out a new one replaces them to continue the same policies as the previous government.

No matter who we vote for, the government always gets in! And we, stupidly, because of 10,000 years of history, start full of hope whilst they continue to lie and to fail.

Only the coherence and alignment of the energy of peace from Meditation can start to change the world, your life now and your future lifetimes, creating more luck in your life and preventing wars before they arise.

Only the highest knowledge and aligned consciousness and the energy of peace from your Meditation can start to change your life now and your future lifetimes, giving you more energy, perseverance, good relationships and luck by preventing faults and failures in your life before they arise.

More people are starting to apply Meditation, one of the fastest growing ancient and successful techniques in the world, because it works now and has worked for 5000 years creating in that time all the past spiritual masters to whom we look up to because of their lives of health and goodness and mercy to all.

It needs artists like Geldoff and Bono from U2 to remind us that our happiness is created by the happiness of everyone around us - let's help Africa they say.

Our happiness is bound up in the happiness of others. Who are the happiest people, those who make everyone around them happy.

Governments and the people who run them never have had this point of view. They do not meditate!

This we need to afford through your conscious choice, now. By choosing to practice meditation. Through having a process of meditation every day you can enter into that richer life!!

As meditation becomes the practise of choice in all people, businesses, politicians and government itself, this will change and the whole world will become fault free!!

And even Meditation is not enough, now we need real meditative progress, a speeding up of the process of meditation through advanced meditational techniques.

Meditation and Energy Enhancement which teaches twenty seven ancient and effective techniques beyond simple meditation to speed up the meditative process will progressively give you that fault free life of richness and joy, giving you energy, intelligence and will.

Meditations like the Kundalini Kriyas, the Grounding of Negative Energies, Opening the Heart Center and Soul Fusion will give real results of evolution, coherence, alignment and progress in our lives and in the lives of everyone in the world, fast!!

In this way, through meditation your life, the lives of your family and friends, your city, country and planet can be benefited as waves of meditational energy are projected and spread to all areas of your life and planet of residence for this life and all your future lives. Start now!!

Simple Meditation to Overcome the Mystique of Meditating

There is a tendency amongst many people to think that meditation is a somewhat aloof, elitist, mystical and complex practice that requires years of practice to become proficient. People can be put off trying meditation for any or a combination of those reasons. Meditation, though, can actually be very simple, and that is how it should be for beginners.

Simple meditation is really where to start, and you will soon realise that there is nothing mystical or elitist about meditation. Also, it only takes a short period of time to experience the benefits of even simple meditation.

Given that one of the major benefits of even the simplest meditation can be stress relief, and stress is such a big problem in the Western world, it is easy to see how widely meditation can improve the lives of people. It really is a matter of just getting started, as you may soon get into a habit (and I do not mean a monk's habit, unless that's what you really want) of making time to meditate on a regular basis.

Where many Westerners may feel uncomfortable about meditation is its spiritual connotation. While the West sinks further into a non-spiritual, straightjacket existence, for millions it becomes even harder to even contemplate a spiritual side to life.

However, those same people can benefit from meditating simply for the stress relief and relaxation effects. Then, as time goes by, a spiritual reawakening may be more likely to follow, as naturally as day follows night.

If you have any doubts or misunderstandings about meditation, then it is as well just to try it at a personal level in its simplest form.

To keep meditation simple, there is no need to learn about all the theory, nor read volumes by all the "experts". Though such learning may enrich your life, it is not an essential of getting started.

What is meditation, though? To meditate is, put simply, to muse or contemplate, at a profound level, on a particular subject or series of subjects. Now that hardly seems mystical, spiritual or elitist, does it? But for a newcomer to meditation, it will do. It is simple, natural, and very easy, once you do it. The difficulty for many in attempting meditation is penetrating the image, and getting down to the practicality.

In meditating, a person will quieten the mind and move away from conscious thoughts that distract, establishing a connection with the subconscious. There are a number of techniques for doing this, and each person may do best with one particular technique.

An important step in starting your first, and any, meditation session, is to get into a comfortable position; a position where you can allow your mind to drift into a peaceful state with minimum distraction. If you are uncomfortable, your discomfort will be a distraction.

Do not feel that you have to get into the famous Lotus position, one that many associate with meditation. It is not essential. I cannot sit in a lotus position due to the condition of my hip joints, and can only meditate effectively in other lying or sitting positions. Remember, for simple meditation it is the comfort rather than the actual position that is important. Meditation takes place in the mind; your mind is with you whatever the position; the correct position is primarily to prevent the distraction of discomfort.

Once you are comfortable, then you can close your eyes and start relaxing your mind. It is essential to focus on your breathing and to ensure you breathe through your nose and not your mouth. Pay full attention to each breath, focusing your mind in the act of breathing into and out of your lungs.

Once you have settled into the breathing rhythm, and can maintain your awareness of it, ensure that any thoughts and distractions to do with your daily life drift away. This can be difficult, but do not pressure yourself. Like many things, practice will make you more in control of your mind and able to shut out external intrusions more easily.

Thoughts will flow in and out of your mind, but you will eventually start to recognize quiet, still periods, like a vacuum in your thoughts. These periods are what you are aiming for, and with practice they will increase in length, increasing the personal benefit of meditating.

That, really, is simple meditation. Once you start to feel its benefits, and see how easy it really is, you may well want to learn more from experts and study the different types of meditation. One thing is certain though, even simple meditation at an "entry" level, will open your mind to a new world within. A world most people want to explore once they have discovered it.

Meditation Affects Your Sex Life

In the modern world there is confusion regarding the role of sexuality in spirituality. Most of the time religions tend to propagate that sex and spirituality are opposite experiences. Sex is about pleasure and spirituality is about suffering. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Universe operates at at least two levels. One- that is seen by our senses and the other- an unseen level that is termed ‘spiritual’. These levels are also paradoxical in nature. One is to be seen and is factual, the other is unseen and is to be felt or experienced. There are other paradoxes in Nature too. The paradoxes of life and death, day and night, cold and heat are commonly known in daily life. The choice between the paradoxes is what makes a man confused. When the human being becomes confused then he (or she) looks into spirituality for answers. Acceptance of all paradoxes is what makes a person more spiritual than any other person.

Sex and spirituality are such paradoxical subjects. They are both necessary for leading a fulfilled life. One is at a physical level, the other is at an experiential level. Do they affect one another? Yes they do. Acceptance of both of them equally is what makes a person wiser. The common factor in both of them is that they both relax the body and the mind. In addition to giving pleasure, the sex act is an act of reproduction and it also helps involved individuals develop intimate relationships. Meditation, at an unseen level, also brings the people together in a spiritual manner. Both sex and meditation cause a reduction in body and nervous tension.

In my practice I meet people on a daily basis who are extremely stressed out. Many of them are suffering with depression, anxiety and other psychiatric conditions. In most of them, the sexual drive is reduced. The reason for this is that their nervous system is in a chronically aroused state. It does not get any rest because the person is on the go most of the time.

When they start doing meditation or any simple breathing exercise on a regular basis, they experience their sexual drive increasing temporarily. Then they experience a waxing and waning of the drive. As their emotional distress is reduced, their sexual drive becomes more stable. With increase in meditation, their physical needs including appetite, need to exercise and spending habits become stable. People who are addicted to sex also notice a reduction in their sex drive sooner or later.

As meditation is increased, there is a remarkable reduction in sexual needs and sexual drives in individuals. It does not mean that their sexual based relationships are broken down or destroyed. They simply become less demanding of their partners. If they do not have partners, they realize that they do not need to be sexually active to live a perfectly normal life.

It is because of the ability of meditation to reduce sexual drive, that celibacy is demanded of spiritual teachers in almost all cultures. It is not that sexual act is against the core of spirituality. In almost all religions, the spiritual leaders have been married. Sexual relationships have not been discouraged in pursuit of spirituality. In many cultures it is accepted that sexual fulfillment can sometimes be a pre-requisite to a spiritual journey. According to some researchers, during orgasm and also while experiencing climax in meditation, both the nostrils of the participant/ practitioner open for breathing. At no other time in wakeful or sleep phase does it happen.

Using meditation, sexual life can be made healthier. Suppression of sexuality is not the goal of spirituality. Rising above the sexual needs is the goal.

Developing Mindfulness and Awareness

Developing mindfulness and awareness can be like riding a rapids. It is easy to talk about, but actually to do it requires inner strength, stamina. The way to develop inner strength is to take every opportunity to practice it, bit by bit. Opportunities continually present themselves. Constantly practice breaking state and acting independently of the urge of habitual thought and behavior.

1) Go slow when you want to go fast, and vice versa. When you feel like contracting in fear, expand. For example, if you are sliding into a poverty mentality, give something away. Return kindness for rudeness. Patience is a form of generosity: cultivate it toward yourself and others. Give both space and time; take a deep breath and shift perspective: look at the sky, feel your feet on the ground. Affirm that there is plenty of time to do everything, and relax the contraction.

2) Do ordinary, habitual tasks, like brushing your teeth, with wakeful attention as if for the first (beginner's mind) or last time (awareness of the imminence of death).

3) Do things faster or slower than usual, i.e. become attentive to habitual patterns and vary them so you feel the friction.

4) Don't base choices or behaviors on external standards, or internalized external standards, such as praise or blame, good or bad, or right or wrong (think more deeply about what causes harm), or others' expectations.

5) Take risks, perform small acts of courage (and appreciate them), make arbitrary choices and plans and follow through. Just do it!

6) Practice witnessing thoughts and feelings. Sit quietly erect and relaxed, and simply label thoughts and feelings: "thinking ...thinking ...feeling..." Label and witness without getting involved. Build up until you can spend 20 minutes or more a day with this simple exercise.

7) Cultivate mindfulness in all your actions throughout the day, and create your own exercises for breaking state, for waking up.

This is a discipline, and true discipline itself is an act of courage: the courage to step outside the trance of narrow self-involvement and fear. To keep it real and fresh requires vigilance. If it becomes a routine habit, you've fallen asleep. If it becomes a duty, an obligation, involved with hope and fear, guilt, or a gaining idea, you will become resentful. Right relationship to wakeful living is the goal of this approach to hypnotherapy, not the trading of one trance for another.

8) Become aware of how and when you are ruled by your unexamined likes and dislikes. What are they? Make a list.

9) As an exercise, create a script in which you represent your most important goal in life as a living symbol of some sort. Relate to it, feel its energy. Take some time to become fully established in relationship to it, so it becomes alive and vivid. Then visualize it moving straight out into the distance, to the top of a hill where you experience its power and vividness as you simultaneously experience yourself at the beginning of a straight path before you and up the hill to the symbol. Walking this path symbolizes your walking your life’s path to attain this goal. As you begin walking, on either side of the path are temptations and obstacles of all sorts, manifesting in varied ways: people, objects of desire or fear, situations from the past, symbols of shame and fear, sadness or grief, seduction and distraction.

These manifestations can try to divert you from your path, but they cannot do one thing: they cannot block your path or prevent you from going step by step, walking wakefully and intentionally. As you go step by step, knowing you are going to stay on the path, focused more and more on your goal, you can afford to take some time to experience things to the right and the left, to hear and feel the pull of their cons, and then to "pop" them and move on. After taking the time you need to do this in a way that builds your inner strength, you come to the bottom of the hill, having left all those things behind. Take one last look back at them, reflecting on how good it feels to have overcome them, and then turn and proceed up the hill into the presence of this living symbol, which has become even more vivid, meaningful, and powerful because of your efforts. Feel its energy permeating you as it merges fully into your being, dissolving into every cell of your body, carrying its resources, intelligence, and power into every part of your being. Take some time to experience this, knowing and sensing it is radiating through your past and future in appropriate and beneficial ways, and then come back.

10) Rest in No-Self and allow Skillful means to flow genuinely. Be ready to be surprised! As you clarify and step out of your own shame-based, fear-based trances, you'll be able to trust the Goodness of your True I-Don't-Know-Who-I-Am Self. You'll be amazed at what comes out of your mouth and at how you behave, and amazed at how this benefits yourself and others. This effortless capacity is the fruit of sincere, persistent efforts to cultivate the forms of discipline and self-inquiry described above. You can't sit and watch fertile ground, no matter how fertile it is, and wait for it to sprout a bountiful crop. You must till it and plant good seed.

Take This Zen Test: Can You Practice When You're Agitated?

Zen is so simple in theory.

The general idea is to be completely where you are, for whatever is happening, when you’re there.

If you feel joy, be there for it, and if you’re getting a route canal, be there for that.

In a sense, we can’t really escape from what is in front of us, though we try.

For example, at Santa Monica beach, I’m amazed at the number of rollerbladers, joggers, and walkers who anesthetize themselves with earphones tuned into music. Isn’t it enough, I wonder, to hear the ocean’s waves, the gulls jabber, and people laughing?

Why do we need a soundtrack when nature’s own is perfectly cool, ever changing, and in accord with deep rhythms and patterns?

Or, let’s say you try to avoid a certain amount of unpleasantness with your boss, choosing to suppress your negative feelings about a decision he made, instead of expressing them.

Where do you think those feelings go?

Do they vanish because we wish them away? Or, is it more likely that they get twisted into our back muscles, making us sore and tight?

We go to the chiropractor for relief, and we get some symptomatic help, but any reminder of our office makes us tense up, once more.

If you read my articles you know that I’ve unplugged from cable and satellite TV, so I watch very little, unless I’m on the road.

On a recent trip, I was watching the “Godfather” trilogy, which is still completely amazing after all these years, and what stunned me were all of the commercials for pain relief, and for maladies about which I had been utterly clueless.

If you actually suffer from any of these, please excuse me, but I think merely watching these ads can make you nuts, just by internalizing the idea that so many things can go wrong.

The thought came to me that there is probably someone out there who is taking 500 pills a day, a hypochondriac to be sure, but somehow he believes that he is so threatened by daily life that he must, lest his world will fall apart.

Do you know what that device is called in the middle of the washing machine that moves back and forth, relentlessly?

An “agitator.” That’s what TV is, but TV is also emblematic of everyday life.

Life agitates us, twisting us this way and then that way, lifting us, and then pummeling us.

The Zen question is: Can you “practice,” which is to say, can you maintain focus on essentials, on your basic work of waking up, becoming more enlightened about this experience we’re all having as humans, while you’re agitated?

For instance, from time to time, people come into my office while I’m writing, and they’re conversing loudly, sometimes disagreeing, and spewing hostility into the air.

My trained response is to continue writing, and to not resist their intrusions.

I’m not actually shutting out or blocking anything, but just continuing to focus on where I am in my writing. When I achieve this, I’m doing Zen.

Back to that buried conflict with the boss. Sure, you’re afraid to express your feelings, but can you still do it, though you’re less than completely comfortable?

That’s the time when Zen rolls up its sleeves and gets down to work!
